Bedford Downing frames consist of two paralleled pieces of glass soldered together and rested in its unique, coordinated, glass stand.  A tiny round sliver coil spring holds the photo(s) in position with tension. Ships with the special base easel shown.

Your photo will appear to float in the crystal clear glass lens 'sandwich'.
