Get a custom look frame, for a fraction of the price, with Do-it-Yourself picture framing by Nielsen-Bainbridge®.
Customize artwork, photographs, and more to any full inch size from 5” to 40”. These durable anodized color aluminum mouldings are the same quality utilized by custom picture framers and are easy to assemble.
Each kit contains 2 pieces (sides) of sectional moulding in the same length; all you need is a screw driver, a top lens (glass or plexi-glas), and a back board. In order to create 1 complete frame, you will need 2 kits (4 sides total). See below for other lengths available.
The face (top) of the PROFILE series is 9/32” with a depth of 13/32”, which holds a print, front lens + backing, and up to 2 mats.
Simply measure the overall height and width from the outside edges of your artwork. Include mat if you are using one. Choose one size kit for length and one size for width and assemble your frame with the included hardware.
Note — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the moulding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's moulding.
Hardware needed -- corner angles, eyelet hanger, and spring clips-- are all included.
Note about Frame Depth: The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's "rabbet" (the cut-out area behind the frame's moulding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.
